Having obtained an LLM from the University of London in Company Law, Intellectual Property, Insurance law, and Information law, Benjamin lectured in Company law, Administrative law, and the Law of Evidence at the Polytechnic of Central London. He undertook a civil and commercial pupillage at Devreux Chambers from where he developed a mixed practice in murder, commercial fraud, personal injury, actions against the police, contract disputes, and Judicial review. He was appointed standing counsel to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs Office in 2008 and special counsel to the Governor of the Cayman Islands in 2008 and 2010 to advise on constitutional matters relating to the judiciary and Law officers. He has been appointed to prosecute on the Serious Fraud Office Queens Counsel list since 2009.
